Great birdseye view of Victor, Colorado taken by S.S. Baldwin, Scenic photographer, 115 So. 4th St., Cripple Creek, Colorado. According to Mautz, Baldwin operated his studio in Cripple Creek from 1900-1901. On the front in pencil at the bottom reads "Victor Colo July / 21/ 02. On the top border in pencil he wrote, " PORTLAND MINE....GOLD COIN....INDEPENDENCE MINE". Baldwin's backstamp on the verso. Photo and mount measure 4 7/8" x 7 7/8" with 1/8 to 1/4 inch of border around photo. One small flaw in the skyline, see scan. Click on image for larger view of this great photo.
