Nevada Copper Belt Railroad 1909

Scarce Nevada railroad bond certificate issued in 1909 from the Nevada Copper Belt Railroad. The railroad was organized in 1909 in Yerington with the Yerington Times touting the bonds as a "proven gilt-edged investment" (Myrick, Railroads of Eastern Nevada). The bonds were guaranteed by the Nevada Douglas Copper Company. The copper company operated out of Mason, Lyon County, Nevada. The bond is in excellent condition. Click on image for larger view.
