Bristol Cons. Mines and Smelting Stock Certificate 1908
Product Description
Bristol, formerly known as National City was located 14 miles northwest of Pioche, Nevada. In 1911, operations at Bristol and Jackrabbit, two miles northeast, were combined, and after 1913 and aerial tramway linked the two points (Paher). Bristol's ores were sent by tram and sent by rail to Salt Lake City smelters via Pioche. Bristol has been a ghost town for decades (Stanley Paher, Nevada Ghost Towns and Mining Camps, Nevada Publications.). Paher's book is fantastic and all Nevada collectors should own this book!. The certificate is in excellent condition. Click on image for larger view.
